Stone ground mustard is the very essence of how fine French mustard is made. In 1900, J. Wesley Raye, the 20-year-old son of a sea captain, founded the business in the family smokehouse to produce mustard for Maine’s burgeoning sardine industry. Located in scenic Eastport, Maine, the family business uses the same grinding wheels they started with in 1900.
